How?

Keep your chest up and eye-line fixed on the horizon. Then, with your feet together like a pogo stick, push through your toes as you jump up like a pencil. Like with the standard Open, use your elbows and wrists to turn the rope by shaking imaginary water off your hands - except here, focus on driving the rope down to keep the rope narrower and more aerodynamic. As you drive the rope down, turn the rope twice drawing small circles as you do. Visualise getting the rope under you, as the name suggests. Then, spring back up lightly at the end of each double under avoiding stamping your feet into the ground as you land.

Top tip: Remember to "elevate, then rotate". It's essential we jump up just as the rope reaches our feet and then immediately drive the rope under us using our elbows.

Why?

Multiple unders are a very simple but effective way to scale up the intensity of your jump rope workouts. In fact, CrossFit competitions use double unders as a staple movement for their athletes.
