Footwork
Footwork is define as any type of lower body movement, such as the Can Can or a shuffle, which is completely independent from the jumper’s manipulation of the rope. Focusing on footwork is a very good way for beginners to build up their coordination and timing whilst still developing their first few freestyle skills. More than that, footwork such as the High Knee forms the basis of leg crosses, which are a foundational part of rope manipulation.
