Returning to the Nate K-G Podcast
Nate K-G welcomed me back onto his jump rope podcast after almost a year since our original chat. But this episode was a little bit different.
Sports Relief 2020
On Friday 14th April, in the spirit of the UK charity Sports Relief, I taught over 300 children how to jump rope. I taught them how to have fun whilst exercising and (hopefully) inspired a little confidence along the way.
My First Public Meet Up of 2020
Today was an AMAZING day. There was Double Dutch, a freestyle frenzy, I trained some new clients, a ton of bystanders watched us all in awe, and the weather was extremely kind to us all day. Today was EVERYTHING I think of when people ask why I love this community why I love jump rope the way I do. It brings people together of all ages, races and unifies them with a combined desire for fun and health.
Rope Revolution Returns
My masterclass in jump rope freestyle returned for its first monthly instalment at Nuffield Health in St Albans. Because all the jumpers were intermediate, we were able to cover a lot of ground in just 2 hours - everyone that showed up brought 100% effort and learned so so much. I’m proud of them all.
Volunteering at Zeal Youth Hub
Giving up two hours of my time every week has evolved into the two best hours of my week. The young adults love at Zeal Youth Hub learning new jump rope skills, playing games and enjoying a different way to exercise.
Appearing on The Nate K-G Podcast
On his podcast, Nate K-G talks to jump ropers of all skill levels, with different styles, geographical locations and fitness goals to answer the simple but all-encompassing question, “what is jump rope to you?”
