Upper Body Wraps
Upper body wraps include wraps around your forearm, usually close to the wrist. Arm wraps are perfect for both beginners and advanced jumpers. A basic arm wrap can be done by crossing your arm across your torso, but an arm wrap can be also achieved by swinging to the side during any other cross, such as a Toad arm wrap.

✅ Swing the rope close to your side at all times
✅ Wrap the rope around your wrist or lower forearm
✅ Count the 4 steps - swing, wrap, unwrap, exit
‼️ Try without jumping first, then add the bounding later
‼️ Avoid rushing through steps 2 & 3. Let each revolution finish before moving on

Other Exits to Wraps
Wraps can be exited in a variety of ways. Here you’ll find examples of how to exit a wrap in three ways. The first way is transitioning from jumping forwards to backwards with a turn to unwrap. The second method is reversing the rope’s direction to ‘undo’ the wrap using a stall. And the third is by letting go of the restricted handle inside the wrap leading into a mic release.
Coach Chris’s Top Tips TO DO
✅ Step over the rope with the leg you would’ve jumped on
✅ Wait for the rope to pass over your head in front of you before exiting
✅ Try your best to keep the rope travelling vertical at all times
‼️ Avoid letting the rope touch your legs as it passes in between them
‼️ Avoid letting your unrestricted hand pass over your head
