Can remember of the skill you saw but know what kind of skill it is? Or are you looking for a variation of the skill you’ve learned recently? Click a skill category to reveal every jump rope skill in that section.
Quick tip: Some more advanced skills can be found in multiple categories. For example, you’ll find the Mic Release 180 in the Mic Release category and the Turns category.
What do the 🌶 mean?
Every skill has been ranked in terms of how ‘spicy’ it is, like your favourite exotic foods. More spice equals more difficulty.
🌶 x 1 = Perfect for beginners and those playing it safe
🌶 x 2 = Easy, but with a pinch of challenge
🌶 x 3 = It’ll leave a nasty aftertaste in your mouth
🌶 x 4 = Don’t bite off more than you can chew
🌶 x 5 = Extremely spicy, not for the faint-hearted
For example, a basic Cross is 🌶 on the scale, a Switch Cross is 🌶🌶 but a Cross Gogo is 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.
What do the 1️⃣ to 9️⃣ mean?
Every skill has a number from 1️⃣ to 9️⃣ next to it. Skills in the Tricktionary are grouped in guides which are carousel posts from my Instagram. This number tells you which slide in the carousel is the skill in question.
What do ➡️ and ⬅️ mean?
Every skill also has the symbol ➡️ or ⬅️ next to it. This Tricktionary contains demonstrations of almost any skill forwards and backwards.
➡️ = Forwards version of skill
⬅️ = Backwards version of skill
For skills where the jumper changes direction such as Turns, the symbol will indicate the direction the jumper is jumping at the start of the skill.
Example: 🌶🌶🌶2️⃣⬅️Leg Over is a Backwards Leg Over, which is the 2nd slide in the Leg Cross guide, and is quite a challenging skill to learn.
