My First Public Meet Up of 2020

Today was an AMAZING day. There was Double Dutch, a freestyle frenzy, I trained some new clients, a ton of bystanders watched us all in awe, and the weather was extremely kind to us all day.

Today was EVERYTHING I think of when people ask why I love this community why I love jump rope the way I do. It brings people together of all ages, races and unifies them with a combined desire for fun and health.

Almost a dozen of us met up in Kilburn calisthenics park to jump together. This was a free public meet up where people are free to bring their jump ropes, bring their friends and jump together. Throughout the day, a few jumpers also came specially for prviate jump rope coaching.

My clients on the day, Gulam & Melissa, learned so much so fast in each of their sessions, I can’t wait to train them again in the near future and see how much they will have progressed in between. Both have jumped rope for different lengths of time and had different goals in terms of why they jump rope, but I tailored their sessions specifically to them.

For me, the single best part of the day wasn’t the coaching, or doing my own my freestyle practice, or seeing the crazy freestyle skills some of the group were practising - it was the Double Dutch. Almost anyone can get involved with Double Dutch and have fun, even if it means using one long rope instead of two. There’s so many ways Double Dutch can be done to make it a fun activity and that, for me, was the highlight of the meet up. I’ll be bringing my Double Dutch ropes to every meet up this year now!

This online jump rope community is about one thing and one thing only - community. That is why I’m going to hosting more free publich meet ups at this location in the upcoming Spring and Summer months. Everyone and anyone is free to join us. There will always be Double Dutch, single rope freestyle, and much much more.

If you’d like affordable private jump rope coaching then visit contact me for more details. I teach anyone regardless of age or ability. Jump rope coaching is available for children (I am fully DBS checked) and absolute beginners.

In this community, we welcome all.
